I couldn’t imagine describing this home as anything less than paradise! This house is absolutely one of the most beautiful properties on the island. Between the pool and the insanely close beach access, I don’t think we have ever swam so much in our lives! The home is immaculate and was stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The owner was friendly and quick to respond. We highly recommend choosing this house (a luxury resort is what it actually feels like) for your stay!

Recently we came to Hawaii to get married due to some unfortunate circumstances we had to switch places but have no fear Robert's here! He welcomed us into his beautiful home with open arms and had everything ready even before airbnb could resolve the problems with our past host. The home was clean, nice, and felt like home. For the value and being so close to the beach it's a 5 min walk I would highly recommend this place to stay during your trip!

The location was quiet and beautiful. Communication with the host was great.

Amenities in the house were a bit lacking. Bedding and pillows needed to be replaced. Broken things around the property were starting to add up.

This fabulous place is truly a custom-built villa, with gorgeous hand-crafted touches everywhere. It is exactly as advertised in the listing description, very comfortable in all aspects. My family came with me to celebrate a milestone birthday with me, and we enjoyed staying in the beautiful home, the close-by secret beach, and exploring Hilo, the volcanos, and that coastal side of the Big Island.

The host, Robert, greated us upon arrival for a personal tour of the house, and to be sure we had everything we needed. And while we stayed there, he was very responsive to additional requests and questions we came up with. He also met us upon our departure to inquire if all was good, and he spent a little more time answering our questions about some of the fine details about the building of his place. He was very friendly, and an A++ host. I highly recommend this villa for a wonderful vacation in the Hilo area/side of the island.

This place was wonderful for our group of seven. Plenty of space and bathrooms, very clean and the pool is incredible. Well equipped for large groups and in an excellent location. All expectations exceeded. We hope to stay here again.

This was an amazing place. A great little cottage escape that is surprisingly within 10 minutes of everything you would need. Ex. beach, shops, restaurants, airport, etc. We spent most of our time hiking and coming back to this place was very pleasant. Alan who lives on-site is beyond hospitable. We loved hearing the rain at night. Quite magical! Would stay again :)

Cottage was very clean and nicely appointed. It felt like a home away from home. Within walking distance of a beautiful beach and close to everything in Hilo town. Will definitely stay here again.

We are Honey-mooner's that stayed at Aaron's Cottage and the place had out peaked all of our expectation . we looked for a place that wont coast much , Microwave , Refrigerator , Air condition and got all this and beyond . Alan & Penne were terrific hosts and it felt like we were staying at relatives . Keren & Barak

I stayed here with my family while visiting from Honolulu. This is the first time I have stayed at a B & B and I was so impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and the warm hospitality from Alan and Penne. My kids enjoyed waking up to visit with the dogs every morning. Thank you from our entire family. I will definitely stay here again without a doubt.

Aaron's Cottage is a wonderful place to stay. Alan was so sweet and hospitable. He even cut open a coconut for us with his own machete! The rooms are large and clean and have a refrigerator. They have a fully stocked kitchen and a Weber Grill for bbq-ing so you can cook your own meals (a treat while you are traveling - hit up the nearby farmer's market for cheap fresh produce). And as a bonus there is an amazing beach just steps away. After staying here we went up to Volcano and really missed Aaron's cottage. With Hilo being only 25-20 minutes from Volcano I wish we would have stayed at Aaron's longer and just drove up to Volcano for a day.…

We only stayed here one night on our way around the island. The rooms are big and clean. And the service was rreally good! They have a beautiful garden in the back so you can sit outside in the evening and for breakfast in the morning. The food was really good! It's a bit from downtown, but as long as you have a car it's no problem. Better to stay here. Annelinn, Norway

Clean, quiet, and roomy. Lovely gardens, a very gentrified tsste of jungle. Beautiful walk to the shore starting right out our door. Great breakfast. Friendly host.

Best place I've stayed in Hilo with my dog. Room was very cozy and quiet and is within walking distance to the beach and parks. They also serve a great breakfast to start your day.

Very relaxing, clean, charming cottage. Fresh breakfast was excellent We called it the "Birdhouse cottage" - loved to relax and listen / watch all the bird activity.

Super location. The manager Alan was awesome and was always happy to answer any questions or get us anything we might need. We will be staying here again ! A+++

I stayed here for 5 nights and it was perfect. Rooms were clean. There was an area to cook and even fresh fruit and eggs every morning. It's located right next to a beach access point which they told us about our first day there. I would highly recommend Aaron's cottage and will be staying there again on future trips.
